We started Seed + Grain in 2017 with the aim to get people excited about porridge again. We used the nutrition knowledge, from our Dietitian founder Erin, who knew that rolling oats fresh using an old fashioned stone roller would create a creamier, better tasting and more nutritious bowl of porridge compared to using traditional supermarket oats.
Since then we have grown a loyal following and expanded our range to include 3 flavoured porridges, muesli and granola.
All our products are Vegan. Preservative-free. Small Batch. Handcrafted in Melbourne.
THE HAND ROLLED DIFFERENCE.
When an oat is rolled it begins to oxidise. This means the flavour and nutrition quality of the oats diminishes as they get older. If you’ve ever had bread made from freshly milled wheat you will have noticed the difference in flavour and our oats are no different. Our oats have undergone minimal processing with the aim to retain the starch with is the secret behind our creamier porridge.
